Entry-Level Quantity Surveyor — Nigeria, Abuja Federal Capital Territory

A company operating in the construction and property development sector is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, procurement, project cost monitoring and contract administration across its projects in Abuja.

The position is suitable for an early-career professional with practical knowledge of construction costs, measurement techniques and the Abuja building-materials market. Internship and NYSC experience will be considered.

• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Assist with tender preparation, evaluation and procurement activities.
• Monitor project expenditure and identify cost variances.
• Measure and value completed construction work for interim valuations.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, consultants and site teams.
• Maintain accurate project cost records, reports and supporting documentation.
• Conduct market research on building materials, labour and supplier prices.
• Assist senior quantity surveyors with contract administration.
• Support the management and resolution of contractual issues and disputes.
• Perform other quantity-surveying duties assigned by the project team.

• B.Sc. or HND in Quantity Surveying, Building or a related discipline.
• One to two years of relevant experience; internship and NYSC experience will be considered.
• Basic knowledge of construction costing principles and measurement techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of CostX, CATO or similar quantity-surveying software is an advantage.
• Fluency in Hausa is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Abuja’s construction market, including building materials, suppliers and prevailing prices.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must currently reside in Abuja.

• Monthly salary of ₦150,000–₦200,000.
